The Alfred P. Sloan’s Education for Science and Careers program supports Anytime, Anyplace asynchronous learning by financing the Energy Providers Coalition for Education in its initial phases. National Science Foundation
Bismarck State College received funding from the National Science Foundation for the development of the Nuclear Power Technology program curriculum development. The National Science Foundation (NSF) is an independent federal agency created by Congress in 1950 "to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare; to secure the national defense…" NSF is the major source of federal backing in many fields such as mathematics, computer science and the social sciences. Xcel Energy Foundation
The Xcel Energy Foundation provided funding for EPCE’s 2006-07 project “Reaching Out to the Next Generation of Energy Workers,” a model high school program piloted in Denver, Colorado. The program includes offering an online applied math and career awareness course to local high school students and connecting them with local utilities for tours, career exploration and mentoring. EPCE partners with Virtual High School, Inc. to develop and offer the course linking math concepts to real-world utility work.
