Excelsior College
Excelsior College was founded in 1971 to help busy working adults earn their degrees with flexible distance education programs. The college recognizes that adult learners need flexibility, which is why they offer a variety of options for degree completion, including distance courses, traditional courses, for-credit exams and credit for work experience.
Excelsior College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The bachelor's degree program in nuclear engineering technology is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
EPCE partnered with Excelsior College in 2006 to provide a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology. This degree program offers many opportunities for individuals who already have nuclear plant training, Navy nuclear training, and other college experience to obtain a BS degree in their chosen field. As part of the EPCE partnership, Excelsior College has developed an articulation agreement with Bismarck State College's AAS in Nuclear Power Technology degree program. This provides an opportunity for students who have completed the AAS at Bismarck State College to apply all credits toward this bachelor's degree.
